3. San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site

This 1200 acre park includes the astonishing towering San Jacinto Monument and the San Jacinto Museum of History.
You will be able to walk in the Texian soldiers footsteps. The air is filled with reminiscence and greatness. Check out and explore the museum and do not miss out a ride in the elevator to the top of the monument. From the top, you will be able to have a birds eye view of the city

4. JP Morgan Chase Tower

The tallest building in Texas. The tallest five-sided building in the world.What an astonishing 75-story skyscraper! An architect’s dream. Or a nightmare, depends on who you’re asking.
You just can’t ignore it! Take our advice, pop by during business hours and take the elevator to the 60th floor for the best view of the Houston skyline.

5. Discovery Green

Discovery Green is your perfect getaway in the midst of the city! An urban park is a meeting spot for all generations. So, if you wish to get to know Pasadena and Houston well, if you just moved locally here, this is a good place to start. There is something for everyone here. From outdoors movies,concerts to numerous exhibitions, it is truly the heart of the city. So, whenever you are tired of running around the city, feel free to visit a small piece of heaven the Discovery Green is.

6. Surfside

If you are looking for a quick weekend getaway, look no further! With the port so close to Pasadena, you are in the vicinity of  nature and soft pale sand. Surfside Beach is sparsely-developed, so if you do not like rush and crowds, this is a place for you.  Behind the sands are dunes and wetlands that are a home for birds like Great White Egrets. However, if you are in the mood for adventure, you can rent a canoe and paddle through the swaps of the nearby Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge.

7. Space Center Houston

Houston, we have a problem! Well, this is the best place to say that line. Johnson Space center is the ‘Houston’ that is addressed in movies. From capsules, astronaut trainer, command modules and rockets, there is so much to see here! It is extremely difficult not to love this place and not to be amazed by its garniture. And that’s not all! Northrop Grumman Theater, which is the part of the complex, shows large format moves like Inside the Space Station and To be an Astronaut. So if you ever dreamed of moving to space, come here to get a chunk of that experience.

8. Galveston

Residing on two barrier islands separated from the mainland by the west bay, Galveston is one of the favorite tourist attractions and holiday retreats. It offers endless beaches, ever-lasting nightlife and even some historic landmarks. Strand National Historic Landmark Districts consists of five blocks of charming shops, as well as bars and restaurants. However, the star is definitely  Schlitterbahn- a water park full of thrilling rides and amusements. It is a ride well deserved of moving locally to Pasadena, TX.

9. Burke Crenshaw Park

One of the fisherman’s favorite spots! With ponds brimming with catfish, bass and rainbow trout, it is no wonder why this park is highly visited throughout the year. In addition, it is an amazing spot for jogging and bike racks. Also, if you enjoy softball, there are four fields for use. Parks serenity is just what one needs to wind down in proximity of the lake and many friendly ducks.

10. Kemah

If Surfside beach is not really your cup of tea, maybe Kemah will be more to your taste.  It is mostly a family and friends resort and it is definitely one of the favorites for Houston locals. From amazing seaside dining to fishing, everything is within your reach.  However if you prefer action, no worries there is something for you too. You could catch the Boardwalk Beast which is a high speed motorboat that will give you a ride through Galveston Bay.
